In 1925, the Australian Museum commissioned three statues depicting Aboriginal individuals—a child, a man, and a woman—displayed anonymously as relics of a "dying race." The woman was Nellie Walker, great-grandmother of Irene Ridgeway, who is now on a mission to uncover Nellie’s story.
