How Smoovie works
Smoovie helps films reach community venues, small theatres, arts centres, village halls and other mixed-use spaces. Partners provide feature and trailer files, Smoovie handles secure delivery, venues book screenings through the platform, and films are played back offline through the Smoovie Desktop app.
Why partners work with us
We are interested in helping films reach places and audiences that are often missed by standard release models. For distributors, filmmakers and rights holders, that means a practical way to extend the life of a film, build new audiences, and work with a growing network of community venues in Wales.
Reporting and payouts
After a film’s run, Smoovie issues clear reporting and a consolidated payout based on the agreed terms for that title. The aim is to keep the process transparent, simple to follow, and workable for both partners and venues.
