About Bleddfa Centre Community Cinema
Founded in 1974 by pioneering theatre director, priest and writer James Roose-Evans, the Bleddfa Centre grew into a cherished Mid Wales hub for creativity—rooted in ideas, spirituality, music and care for the environment—set in the beautiful, sparsely populated landscape between Knighton and Llandrindod Wells. In 2023 it merged with the nearby Sidney Nolan Trust, who now manage the site. We’re working with the dispersed rural community in and around Bleddfa to revitalise the Centre as a lively creative hub and re-establish regular activity and social connection—sign up to hear about upcoming events and ways to get involved.
